Privacy notice

This is an informational website for Elephant Hawk LLC. It is intentionally simple, and it is designed to collect as little information as possible.

What we collect

This site has no accounts and no tracking or advertising cookies. It sets no cookies at all.

Two pages have forms: the contact form and the one-time registration that unlocks the free tools. When you submit either one, what you typed is sent to Formspree, a third-party form service, which passes it on to us by email. The contact form asks for your name, email, and message; the tools registration asks for your name, work email, organization, and optionally your role and what market you're watching. We use it to reply to you and to understand who is using the tools. Nothing is sent until you press the button.

What your browser remembers

If you register for the free tools, this site saves a small record in your own browser, on your own device. We never receive it and it is never sent anywhere; it exists only so the tools stay unlocked on your next visit, so we can greet you by first name, and so we can point you back to the report you originally came for.

That record holds your first name, organization, the role you selected, and what you told us you're watching. It deliberately does not hold your email address, your surname, any password, or a history of your browsing. It does keep one page address, the report that sent you to the registration form, purely so we can offer it back to you; that single page, never a trail. If you told us a market or product code you follow, it also keeps a small snapshot of the public FDA clearance and recall counts for it, so that on your next visit we can tell you what changed since the last one. If you sign in to a partner or staff library, it also notes your username and which library accepted it, never the password.

It clears itself after 180 days without a visit. You can also remove it at any time, from here or from the tools page:

Third-party services

The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those fonts, Google may receive your IP address and basic request data, as described in Google's own privacy policy. Form submissions go to Formspree, as described above. We use no other third-party trackers or analytics; there is no analytics script on this site of any kind.

Hosting logs

Our web host keeps standard server logs (for example, IP addresses and pages requested) for security and operations. These are managed by the host as part of providing the service.
